If my neighboring districts aren't using WOERMS, is it of value to me?
WOERMS is at it's best when both your district and the districts you trade students with agree to work together. However, the district that initially requested we create WOERMS never intended for their to be district interactions. Their request was for a system specifically designed to manage Wisconsin's Open Enrollment process. Even without your neighboring districts being on the network, you still get the system that our initial district ask for.

What is the Department of Public Instructions interaction with WOERMS?
Due to the fact that WOERMS was created by a private company, DPI cannot endorse nor mandate the use of WOERMS. However we have worked closely with DPI and have a process in place where they will electronically receive your applications, and where we can automatically assign DPI numbers to the applications as they are entered. This interaction with DPI results in a time and cost savings for both your district and DPI.
